"El Cóndor Pasa" is a Peruvian folk melody based on a zarzuela written by composer Daniel Alomía Robles in 1913, drawing on Andean musical traditions. It gained worldwide popularity when Simon & Garfunkel recorded an English adaptation, "If I Could," in 1970.
