Bart Howard wrote 'Fly Me to the Moon' in 1954, originally titled 'In Other Words', and it became a jazz standard after Frank Sinatra's iconic 1964 recording with Count Basie's orchestra. The piece gained additional fame as the ending theme to the anime series 'Neon Genesis Evangelion', introducing it to a new global audience.
