'Uti vår hage' is a beloved traditional Swedish folk song often associated with midsummer celebrations, with a melody traceable to the 17th century. The arrangement by Hugo Alfvén (1872–1960), Sweden's prominent nationalist composer, gives the old tune a refined choral treatment that became widely known in Scandinavian musical culture.
